DSE Assam Recruitment 2024:
The Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Assam has issued two job notifications for the hiring of 1487 Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) positions in various Government and Provincialized Secondary Schools under the Secondary Education Department, Government. Number of positions: 1487
Government Secondary School: 102 positions
Provincialized Secondary School: 1385 positions
Pay Scale: Rs. 123,456. The salary range includes a Grade Pay of Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 97,000. Compensation: 11,800 per month
Eligibility Criteria for DSE Assam Recruitment
Age Requirement: Candidates must be between 21 and 38 years old as of January 1, 2023.
Age Relaxation Policy:
OBC/MOBC: 3 years
ST/SC: 5 years
Ex-Servicemen: 2 years
PwD: 10 years
Educational Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Post Graduate degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University, and must also have a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) qualification from an institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education. Degrees acquired through off-campus or distance education programs will not be recognized as legitimate. Small Family Norms: Individuals with more than two living children as of 01.01.2021, from either a single or multiple partners, will not be considered eligible for government appointments. Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must be registered in an Employment Exchange.
Teachers Eligibility Test and Recruitment Test: Candidates must pass the Teachers Eligibility Test and Recruitment Test as notified in due time.
Medium of Instruction: In addition to academic and professional qualifications, applicants must meet the following criteria:
(a) For Assamese Medium Schools, applicants must have passed HSLC or equivalent exams with Assamese language or have a diploma in Assamese Language from the Assam Sahitya Sabha, or study up to HSLC level in an Assamese Medium School.
(b) For Bengali Medium Schools, applicants must have passed HSLC or equivalent exams with Bengali language or have a Diploma in Bengali from the Barak Upatyaka Bangya Sahitya O Sanskriti Sammelan, or study up to HSLC level in a Bengali Medium School.
(c) For Hindi Medium School, applicants must have passed HSLC or equivalent exams with Hindi language or study up to HSLC level in a Hindi Medium School.
(d) For Bodo Medium School, applicants must have passed HSLC or equivalent exams with Bodo language or study up to HSLC level in a Bodo Medium School.
(e) For English Medium School, applicants must have passed HSLC or equivalent exams with alternative English as a subject or have studied from Class XI onwards in an English Medium School.
Teachers teaching MIL subjects must have passed HSLC Examination with the particular MIL subject.
Physical fitness: Applicants for the Graduate teacher post must: The individual must be in good mental and physical health and free of any physical impairments that could hinder the effective execution of their responsibilities; and All prospective candidates must undergo a medical examination prior to being appointed to the position. B.Ed. Parangat Mark sheet (1st Year & 2nd Year) and Certificate.
