Nationality: Candidates must be a Permanent Resident of Assam.
Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must be registered in an Employment Exchange.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years old as of 01.01.2023.

Educational Qualifications:
Graduate Teacher (Arts & Science):
For the post of Graduate Teacher (Arts), candidates must have at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post Graduation (or its equivalent) in Arts / Commerce from a recognized University and hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).
For the post of Graduate Teacher (Science), candidates must have at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post Graduation (or its equivalent) in Science from a recognized University and hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).
Graduate Teacher (Hindi):
Candidates must have Pravin / Ratna in Hindi with 50% marks and a degree qualification with 50% marks or a post Graduate degree in Arts with 50% marks from any recognized University.
Candidates must also hold a BA with 50% marks and have Hindi as one of the subjects with 50% marks, or be a post Graduate in Arts with 50% marks provided they have passed BA with one of the subjects as Hindi with 50% marks in Hindi.
B.T / B.Ed. Degree from a recognized university (Parangat considered equivalent to B.Ed). Graduate Teacher (Sanskrit):
Shastri degree with 50% marks or Bachelor's degree with 50% marks in Arts from a recognized University,
BA with 50% marks and Sanskrit as a subject with 50% marks, or
Post Graduate Degree in Arts with 50% marks in Sanskrit.

Off-campus Degrees: According to the Assam Secondary Education (Provincialised Schools) (Amendment) Service Rules, 2021, degrees or certificates issued by institutions with study centers outside Assam that are not recognized by the Distance Education Council (DEC) under UGC will not be accepted for employment in the Education Department. Degrees/diplomas awarded by KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL under Gauhati University, and Distance Education under Dibrugarh University will be accepted for employment purposes.
Medium of Instruction
(i) For candidates from Assamese Medium Schools, passing HSLC or equivalent Examination with Assamese Language as a subject is required. Alternatively, having a Diploma in Assamese Language from Axom Sahitya Sabha or completing education up to HSLC level in an Assamese medium School will be accepted.
(ii) For candidates from Bengali Medium Schools, passing HSLC or equivalent examination with Bengali language as a subject is required. Alternatively, having a Diploma in Bengali language from Barak Upatyaka Bangya Sahitya O Sanskriti Sammelan or completing education up to HSLC level in a Bengali medium School will be accepted.
(iii) For candidates from Hindi Medium Schools, passing HSLC or equivalent Examination with Hindi language as a subject is required. Alternatively, completing education up to HSLC level in a Hindi medium School will be accepted.
(iv) For candidates from Bodo Medium Schools, passing HSLC or equivalent Examination with Bodo language as a subject is required. Alternatively, completing education up to HSLC level in a Bodo Medium School will be accepted.
(v) For candidates from English Medium Schools, passing HSLC or equivalent Examination with Alternative English as a subject is required. Alternatively, beginning education from Class XI onwards in an English Medium School will be accepted. Examination Fee:
