Remuneration: A GDS gets remuneration in the form of Time Related Continuation Allowance (TRCA). This will be increased by 3% annually, subject to fulfillment of the conditions as per GDS rules. 
You will also be eligible for Cost of Living Allowance under TRCA as notified by the Government of India from time to time.

Initial commitment for GDS is in the following TRCA base slabs:

BPM: Rs.12,000-Rs.29,380/-
ABPM/Dak Sevaks: Rs.10,000-Rs.24,470/-


Age Details 

Age Limit: The age of the candidate should be between 18 and 40 years on the last date of submission of application.

Age Concession: The category wise age concession is as follows:

SC/ST: 5 Years
OBC: 3 Years
PwBD (Unreserved): 10 Years
PwBD (OBC): 13 Years
PwBD (SC/ST): 15 Years

Qualification Details 

Education Requirement: The requirement for employment in Education GDS should be a pass certificate of 10th standard secondary education with satisfactory marks in Mathematics and English issued by a recognized educational institution of the Government of India/State Government/Union Territory of India.

Knowledge of National Language: Applicant must have studied National Language at least up to grade 10 in an accredited school.

Additional Criteria: The additional required criteria are:

i. Computer skills
ii.Knowledge of cycling
iii.Adequate livelihood

General Male Category - 100 R.s.
OBC Male Category - 100 R.s.

India Post GDS Recruitment FAQ:Registration Procedure:
Candidates must ensure their eligibility before registering on the portal.
Registration is mandatory for online application.
The mobile number and email ID used for registration should be unique and must be verified.
While registering, candidates must provide basic details.
Candidates must provide a valid mobile number and email ID for further correspondence.
Candidates must keep their mobile number and email address active throughout the recruitment process as changes cannot be made once the details have been submitted.

Only one registration is permitted per candidate.
Fee Payment Procedure:
Fee once paid will not be refunded and candidates must ensure their eligibility before paying the fee.
Candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs.100 for submitting their application online.
All women/trans women candidates and all SC/ST candidates are exempt from payment of fee.
Fee can be paid online using various payment methods. Procedure for applying to Department:
Registration number is mandatory and fee is required through online payment after submitting online application from the candidates who have to pay the requisite fee.

Application details submitted without payment of fee will not be considered as successfully submitted.
In the application process, candidates have to provide current address details, permanent address details, SSC marks/grades/points, desired preference and department for document verification.

Candidates have to ensure that valid current/permanent address details are entered. If selected, further notification will be sent to the address provided.

Candidates must ensure that their marks/marks/points are entered as per SSC notes. In case of any discrepancy, their candidature will be cancelled.

Candidates can stand for only one division in a district.
