Salary Range: Salary band of Rs. 14,000 to 70,000 along with a grade pay of Rs. 6,200 and additional allowances as applicable over time.
Age Requirement: As of January 1, 2022, candidates must be at least 18 years old and no older than 40 as of January 1, 2025, in accordance with Government Office Memorandum No. ABP.6/2016/51 issued on September 2, 2020.
Age Relaxation: The following upper age limit relaxations are allowed for various categories:
SC/ST: 5 years
OBC/MOBC: 3 years
Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have completed HSSLC (Science) with Biology included as a subject. Additionally, they must successfully complete a course in basic Veterinary Science (One Year Training Course) from the recognized "School of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry" set up by the Government of Assam located in Ghungoor, Silchar.
Physical Standards: Individuals applying for the position of Veterinary Field Assistant, as outlined in Rule 3 (d), must be in good health both physically and mentally, without any significant bodily defects that may hinder the effective execution of their responsibilities. They are also required to pass a medical examination prior to being appointed to the position.
What is the process to apply for the Assam Veterinary Recruitment?
I.Candidates who wish to apply should use the standard format mentioned in part IX of the Assam Gazette for their application. This should be accompanied by relevant documents and a self-addressed envelope containing a postage stamp of Rs. 5/- for communication purposes. Completed applications need to be directed to the Director of the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department in Assam, located at Chenikuthi, Guwahati-781003. Applications must be physically submitted in the Drop Box during office hours by 5:00 PM on or before March 18, 2025, or sent via Registered Post.
II. Applicants are required to securely attach one (1) recent photograph in the designated area of the application form using a strong adhesive. Additionally, another copy of the photograph must be included with the application. The photograph should have a prominent signature.
III. As the requirement for submitting certified copies of documents by an authorized person has been abolished by the government, applicants must provide copies of their certificates and mark sheets which they themselves declare as true copies of the originals along with their application.
