Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed the Secondary School Examination (10th grade) with Mathematics and English as compulsory or optional subjects from a recognized Board of School Education of the Government of India, State Government or Union Territory. This qualification is mandatory for all categories of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS).
Age Limit: Applicants should be at least 18 years of age but not exceeding 40 years as on the last date of application.
Reduction in Age: The upper age limit may be reduced by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 3 years in case of OBC candidates and 10 years in case of PwD candidates.
Local Language Skills: Applicants should have studied the local language of the relevant postal district at least up to 10th grade.
