State Eligibility Test 2025
The State Eligibility Test (SET) is a competitive assessment organized by the State Level Eligibility Test Commission (SLET) in Assam (Northeast Region). The primary objective of this examination is to create a roster of qualified individuals to be appointed as Assistant Professors, similar to the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

SET Exam Eligibility Requirements
Age Restriction: There is no specified age restriction for participating in the SLET Exam. Individuals who succeed in the Examination are qualified to seek the role of Assistant Professor within the territories governed by the Member-States of this SLET Commission.
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates are required to have achieved a minimum of 55% scores (without any rounding) in their Master’s Degree or an equivalent assessment from universities or institutions accredited by the UGC, applicable to General/Unreserved/General-EWS candidates. Nevertheless, individuals from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Category, and the Other Backward Classes (OBC) that belong to the non-creamy layer who have attained at least 50% scores (without rounding off) in their Master degree or equivalent examination qualify to take the Test.
Those candidates who have taken or are going to take their final qualifying Master’s degree (final year) assessment and are awaiting results, as well as those whose qualifying examinations have been postponed, may also submit applications for this Test.

Click on the "Online Application Form" and complete the registration procedure.
At the subsequent step, select the "Online Application Form" Link and Log in.
Provide all your personal and academic information and upload the necessary documents.
Finally, pay the application fee according to your category and submit your form.
Remember to print a copy of the application form.
