The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has issued a job announcement CEN No. 01/2025 for filling 9970 Assistant Loco Pilot positions across different RRBs. Position Title: Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP)

Vacancies in RRB Guwahati: 30
Salary Range: Level 02 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix starting at Rs 19900/- along with applicable allowances.
Eligibility Requirements for RRB ALP Hiring
Age Requirement: Applicants should be aged between 18 and 30 years as of 1st July 2025.
Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxed for candidates from reserved categories as detailed below:

Academic Qualifications:
A) Completion of Matriculation / SSLC along with an ITI certification from approved NCVT/SCVT institutions in the following trades: Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic Radio & TV, Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature and Coil Winder, Mechanic Diesel, Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic. OR
Completion of Matriculation / SSLC along with finishing an Act Apprenticeship course in the trades listed above. OR
B) A Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering lasting three years. OR
A combination of different streams within these engineering fields from a recognized institution as a substitute for ITI.
