First Year Higher Secondary Online Enrollment 2025 – Apply Online at Darpan Portal 

The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Divisional Unit II, previously known as the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC), has introduced a digital platform referred to as “Darpan” for the purpose of enrolling in Higher Secondary programs via the internet. Students who have successfully completed the HSLC examination this year can register online through this platform for first-year programs for the academic year 2025 - 2026 as set by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council.

The admission process for Higher Secondary first-year classes in Assam for 2025 will be conducted via "Darpan," the centralized portal for online admissions in Higher Secondary education.

Principals of colleges, high schools, and senior secondary schools who wish to utilize this service can sign up online.


Therefore, all institutions that are registered on the “DARPAN” portal are instructed to access the official website to refresh their institution profiles using their current login details so they can facilitate the admissions for students entering the HS 1st Year Class for the academic year 2025-26.

On the other hand, institutions that recently received Academic Permission from ASSEB, DIV-II, yet have not registered on the “DARPAN” portal are required to register their institution using the token number that will be sent to the Principal via SMS to establish their institution profile and carry out admissions for the 2025-26 session accordingly.

During the process of updating the profile or registering a new, the UDISE code is compulsory for HS/Sr. Sec. Schools while the AISHE Code is necessary for Degree Colleges.


What is the process for applying to Assam HS 1st Year Admission?

Step 2: Select the HS 1st Year Online Admission link.


Step 3: A new page will appear; click on the Register a new Account link.


Step 4: Subsequently, provide your personal and educational information as requested by the portal.


Step 5: Upload a scanned copy of your passport-sized photograph along with your 10th-grade mark sheet.


Step 6: Then create a 4-digit Login PIN and press the register button.


Step 7: After that, click on the HS 1st Year Online Admission link again to log in once more.


Step 8: Choose the course and colleges/schools you prefer. You can select up to five institutions based on your priority for admission.


Step 9: Finally, click the submit button and print the submitted form for your records.


Step 10: Be sure to check the portal often for any updates. Notifications about the institution(s) you have been accepted into will be sent through the portal.

Commencement of online application: 17th April 2025 

Final day for online application: 24th April 2025 

Creation of merit list by colleges: 25th April 2025 to 26th April 2025 

Announcement of the Merit List: 27th April 2025 (At 10:00 AM) 

Students' acceptance of admission offers: 27th April 2025 to 29th April 2025 

Institutions' confirmation of admissions: 30th April 2025 to 10th May 2025

Eligibility Requirements 

Who can submit an application?

Those who have completed the HSLC (Class 10) or an equivalent examination from SEBA or any recognized board are eligible to apply.
