CTET 2024 Qualifications
Aspirants wishing to take part in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) must satisfy specific educational criteria. Qualifications necessary for primary and secondary education levels vary. Below is the breakdown of educational qualifications required for each level:
Primary Level (Class I to V):
A) Senior Secondary or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks and completion or enrollment in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (recognized by NCTE regulations).
B) Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and completion or enrollment in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
C) Senior Secondary or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and completion or enrollment in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
D) Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
Secondary Level (Class VI to VIII):
A) Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and completion or enrollment in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
B) Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and completion or enrollment in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
C) Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and completion or enrollment in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
D) Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and completion or enrollment in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
E) Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and completion or enrollment in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
F) Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and completion or enrollment in a 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
Any candidate who has completed a B.Ed. degree. The programme accredited by the NCTE is qualified to participate in the TET/CTET. Furthermore, in accordance with the current TET regulations outlined in the NCTE communication dated 11-02-2011, individuals enrolled in teacher education programs recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as indicated in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010, are eligible to participate in the TET/CTET.
Application Fee for CTET 2024:
Candidates must pay a prescribed fee based on their category to successfully submit their CTET application.
Candidates are required to make payment for their application fee via an online payment gateway, utilizing a credit card, debit card, UPI, or net banking.
